Hi ,
could any clever person try to explain to two simple stubborn guys what the
pen in the plotter is used for.
I say its for printing text on vinyl while my mate says its for tracing the vinyl
where the cut would be.
we both have no clue, but there is a bottle of good bubbly on stake.

I think it is for drawing. I remember a long time ago plotters used to be used for a lot of CAD (Computer Aided Design). Blueprints and such.

We have used it for art that has been drawn out by hand. Scan it in, then you can resize it to what ever you want, add graphics to it, then pen plot it out. Customer thinks you did it all by hand. After you get your deposit, you can let them keep the drawing. They think thats pretty cool.
The pen is for outline or drawing as they were origanlly used for cad systems and doing architectural drawings. Many people use them to trace out on paper for a customer proof.
You can turn "fill plot" on in Flexi and yes you can fill in the whole inside of the lines. I will post some pics that someone on another forum did, it's amazing, I haven't had the time to try these myself but and going to one day.
