Thanks for a fantastic forum, have been doing lots of learning here and finally got my vinyl cutter today! (HX720) (tees and vinyl rolls last week, heat press next week..) but cannot fit the blade firmly into the holder

the picture seems to be a tiny protrusion of just the tip of the blade, once in the large metal holder, but the whole half inch just falls through the hole. I don't wanna screw the top in too tight coz it seems it might ruin the red plastic on top of the blade. Hopefully someone has an idea of what i mean - i can recharge the camera batteries and post pics if that would help.

oops! er... the red plastic came off and voila there was the blade lol - the other end now fits Thanks again for a fantastic forum

I am glad you figured that one out! When you order new blades they will come with color coded plastic protectors. The common colors are red, black and blue. Good luck with the plotter and remember just the tip of the blade should extend from the holder a credit cards width.

Thanks guys and I certainly will!!

About to try a newer version of Artcut which actually HAS usb support (fingers crossed i can cut more than the test square)
