Default How To Cut A White Border With A Roland Camm 1 24"

Im Printing My Opaque Transfers On My C88 With The Crop Marks. I Use The Roland Cut Studio Software. My Problem Is That When I Go To Cut Around My Desighn It Tends To Leave Certain Parts With A Small White Border. Is There A Way To Solve This, What Im Trying To Do Is Maybe Add A White Border Around The Whole Desighn So It At Last Looks Uniform. I Am Using Black Shirts. Is There Any Seeting For Roland Cut Studio Software That Would Let Me Do This. I Do Add A White Outline In Corel When I Desighn It, But When I Tranfer It To Cut Studio It Does Not Recognize It, It Cut To Ther Nearest Color.

Convert your image to a polyline under the object menu option.

Select the outside cut line or all cut lines depending on your needs.

Then go to "Object" then "Image Outline"

Select "Outside" to create a second cutline, outside of the original one selected. This will create a white border. Be sure to specify the desired offset distance and after applying - delete the original set of lines so that the cutter does not cut both parts.

This process can also eliminate the white areas totally by moving the offset towards the inside, thus cutting slightly on top of the printed image.

Or when you create your image, create a little bit of a bleed around the outside to prevent this from happening.

Yes there is a way to do this. Below are the instructions from my memory, so I might have missed a step:

- Click on your graphic.
- Go to the Object selection (across the top of the screen) and go to Image Outline.
- Move the Aligment Image Density bar to the correct position based on your design.
- Click Extract Contour Lines and when it is done, click OK.
- Go back to the Object selection (across the top of the screen) and go to Offset selection.
- In the new screen, type in the amount of inches or a fraction of an inch that you want the border to be around your graphic. Then check the Outside radio button and click OK.

I can't remember if you have to click on the original cut line and delete it or if it is automatically changed. Maybe some one can confirm this. But, this is the gist of using the Offset function. You can also adjust the cutting nodes for the parts of the design that are not close enough for you. Hope this helps.

Thanks For The Help And The Great Deal On My Equipment. I Im Going To Try Your Sugesstion.

I Had Another Question Im Sure You Could Answer. I Purchased Some Of Your Transfer Film(not Sure If This Is What Its Called) The Stuff Used To Lift Opaque Transfer From There Backing When Your Desighn Is Not One Single Desighn, Rather It Has Seperated Parts Like Seperate Words That Are Not Connected. I Tried It Using The Proper Setting But It Melted And Did Not Transfer The Desighn. My Transfer Stuck To The Film. And The Film Melted
