HI, my name is Susie - Ive been lurking around for a while and decided I should reg. and post my question
I’m trying to start my own very low quantity clothing line soon and I'm in need of some heat transfer materials to test out. I wanted to see how the materials looked on different fabrics, how they worked with our plotter, how they wear etc. but I really didn't want to buy rolls and rolls of materials just to do the testing.
I would really like to try some Thermoflex (or similar), Glitter Flex, and the Thermoflock to start with. To do the testing I could purchase "by the yard" or if someone has paper size samples that would be enough to test with.
I'm really interested in white b/c thats a color I cant print with my regular ink-jet right now and really limits my designs. I would also love to try metallic (pink, silver blue, etc.) but haven’t found any in the US yet.
Since I have a plotter I may start doing short run lots for customers (depending on how the DIY shirts go) - but for now its one step at a time.
I e-mailed Beacon Graphics last week and never got a reply.
So if anyone knows where I can get test samples or material by the yard please let me know. Even if someone has scrap bits that will probably work too.
Hi, thank you. I e-mailed them and they were very quick to reply and helped me out with the samples. They were also very nice, I will be buying from them for sure!
