When you say 'printing' are you talking about a picture/photo?
Vinyl is a one color per layer kind of process. (There are some sparkle and specialty vinyls of course) Vinyl looks like solid color screen printing. (not like a photograph)
If you need pictures, then
DTG is very nice. You can also dye sub or use an inkjet and transfer paper.
