Default cutStudio with Corel

Hi, is anyone using the Roland cut Studio with Corel Draw 12? I installed it today and tried to send a file I created with a JPEG and some text. When I click so the CS button it only transfers the text, not the JPEG. Would some please tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks much!

The cutter needs a line to cut. A vector file is made up of lines. The text will cut after you covert it to lines.

A jpeg is a picture without any lines. You will need to convert it to lines or make a design with lines to use with your cutter. Look at this post to see one way to convert a photo for cutting.

The print and cut feature is a little different, you print the jpg, then load it in your cutter and send the cut line.

The cutter is a blast once you get it figured out. There is a little learning curve, keep at it.

Ask your questions, we will try to help.

Don really? I got a GX-24 and I love it. I thin Cut studio is good too, could use a few more options, but i love it. Pretty user friendly too!

Hey Don, start a new thread with your issues. Solving your problems would help many forum members who just got a cutter or are thinking about getting one.

Don, would you mind sharing what is it in particular that you don't like about your Roland CX-24 and Cut Studio?

I used cutstudio and it's pretty easy to use with coreldraw.

You have to first convert your jpg to a vector with the coreldraw trace tool. Then you would send the vector to cutstudio.

Hi Eric,

My Roland GX24 and Cut Studio and Corel program are barely one week old. I had "0" experience working with the equipment or programs and I love them both and I've barely used them. The directions provided above worked for me.

The Roland GX24 and it's buddies are our new best friends!
