Default Vinyl on Dark Shirts???

Watsup yall,

From what I can get so far the best way to transfer multi colored graphics to dark colored shirts is by vinyl transfer. Does anyone use this method? Are there any pitt falss our things I should look out four. I do grafitti art and would like my art work to be colorfull and on dark shirts. I know the machines are mighty exspensive and was wondering if anyone know's a good place to outsource this too and what's a reasonable price? Also anyone use the roland eco sol ink? is it any good?

Thanks,

Ben

You basically have 4 choices to do dark shirts reasonably cheaply:

1) You can simply outsource everything to a screen printer.
You can buy a heat press and use it for any of the following:
2) Vinyl/flock transfers. These can be ordered (for specific, ready-made designs) or cut with a vinyl cutter.
3) Plastisol transfers. These are basically carriers that hold screen printing ink which can be applied to a shirt via a heat press. Also ordered, from someone such as SIlver Mountain Graphics.
4) Opaque Transfer Paper. These are transfers which can be printed from an inkject printer and applied to a shirt. The quality is very questionable and I wouldn nto personally recommend them.

If youre doing alot of colors, vinyl can get expensive, especially if you are outsourcing it. Plasticol would be the best way to go.
