Default Mylar? Tell me more...

In several threads I've read where people mention using mylar as backing for cutting a non-opaque transfer.

Can someone shed a bit more light on what brand or type of mylar I can use for this purpose? I've only been using a cutter for two weeks now. I'm hooked now and I'd like to do a bit of experimenting with cutting the non-opaques. But I'm drawing a blank in trying to figure on my own what type of mylar to use.

Any help will be appreciated.

~ Maxine

Hi Maxine,
I believe Josh at Imprintables Warehouse may have something like you're looking for.

How do you do text with heat transfers?

If you are using a Craft Robo or Robo Pro, they have a "carrier" sheet already that you can attach your non-opaque paper to. You may want to find out if you could get one of those if you cannot find out anything about the mylar solution. Hope this helps...

Thank you, Josh.

And also, thanks for answering all my questions and helping me with my order. I've just totally fallen in love with my Roland GX-24. It is really opening up new doors for my business... and it helps that that thing is just so much fun to work with too.

~ Maxine

P.S. I know it's a working trip for you, but enjoy the show!

Josh,

Would the Magic Mask also work to hold a poly twill while running throgh the cutter? Is it strong enought to keep it down and then allow the twill to be weeded off?
