Default Graphtec Virgin, Settings & Software help required please!

Hi Guys,

Just got a Graphtec FC7000MK 2-60 cutter and need help with settings and software.

I will be using it to cut t-shirt vinyl and I have loaded
the vinyl media and have got as far as settings for condition 1.

Can someone give me an idea of force, speed, quality and offset settings I need for hot flex? My cutter pen is about 2mm, is this ok? Blade type is a CB09UA-2, I am worried its not at correct angle as not clear in manual.

I have illustrator CS3 with Cutting Master 2 plugin, I have written some basic text in illy and have gone to file>cut/plot, from there I presume I just mirror it and hit send to complete job?

Any help on settings and software would be massively appreciated as a plotter virgin.

The settings on mine were good . You need to read the entire manual and understand it. I didn't but still had no trouble. The way I set my blade depth was to take a scrap piece of , in this case, transfer material and use it with the blade holder in my hand to just cut the material a little at a time while changing the blade depth till I got it to cut completely through the transfer layer and not the carrier sheet layer.

I just use the settings that were already set in the machine for vinyl with the 090 blade.

I would try 16 Force and 20 speed. Try some test cuts too. I have an FC8000 and love it!
