Richard, can you give us a little info on how you cut it? (ie. do you put two layers together and cut through the first, the second acts as a backer etc...)

Thanks.

I have a roll of mylar that has a tacky side stuck to a paper backing. You use it to hold other materials in place while cutting. I'm not sure you could cut the mylar and use the paper as the transport. I think it would be hard to get the down pressure set to cut the mylar (tough) but not the paper (soft).

If you took two sheets of mylar, peeled the backing off of one, and stuck it to the paper of the second, you might be able to cut one mylar and save the second. It would be a mylar, paper, mylar sandwich.

If you needed a paper stencil, the mylar tack would release on large graphics, but may not on thin, delicate designs.

I have not tested this in my cutter.

For screen printing. rather than using emulsion, he wants to use vinyl.
