Default Roland 24 cutting funny

Okay I have a roland 24 and when I print the reg mark and cut from there starting position my cuts are off. If before I print and cut go to the settings and move one reg mark then print it cuts just fine. The other question is In illustrator there is the little roland window and in that window there are reg marks what's the point. Do you need to line them up when you transfer them over to cut studio.

It sounds to me as if the Roland is expecting a different set of reg marks? Do you have an option to change?

I had this same problem when I first tried this on my GX-24. The vendor suggested to make sure to check the box for "Fine Adjustment" on the printer setup dialog box. When I did this it corrected the problem. Also if you have a pen instead of a blade you can practice on plain paper without having to waste the more costly transfer paper.
Hope this helps. Good Luck.

I use coreldraw and cutstudio. not sure if this will apply with illustrator.
