Hello all, I am looking to purchase a 24-30in possibly even a 42in wide format color printer. I have a cutter already and am looking to get into printing full color stickers, vehicle graphics, banners, printable t-shirt vinyl etc. The problem I am having is that I want to find a printer that can have a CISS or bulk ink system attached or even refillable cartridges. I have come across numerous wide format printers but they seem to be older models and I don’t want to spend less money and not be able to replace any parts if needed. I would love to have a printer/cutter combo like the Roland Versacamm series but just can’t spend at least $12k for a unit so since I already have a cutter I think it would be less expensive to just buy a good printer. What printers would some of you who are doing this recommend?

I'm not sure of any 42" wide inkjet printers that aren't full print and cut systems lik the Roland Versacamm.
What's your budget for the printer?
If your goal is vehicle graphics, stickers, signs, etc, it seems like the investment in the Versacamm (or maybe a used/refurbished one) might be the way to go.
I would love to find a used Versacamm for around $2-3k, do you know of any possibly? But if I could get a good printer for less that would definitely help the wallet.

Don't know about the printer but just saw a 1year old Roland VersaCamm SP-300V, in Las Vegas Craiglist for $5000. I don't think your going to find a better deal than that.

The post above by JV seems to indicate that you can get a used Versacamm in somewhere *near* that price range.
You can get a converted 54" cammjet for around the $5,000 range. They print slower but print as good as the Versacamm and the parts are alot cheaper. Check out Wide Format Solvent Printer Conversion
Any of the old Roland Solvent Jet printers, or if you can find a used Mimaki JV33 printer. They all have current technology but even some of the older Mimaki JV 3 printers still have parts availability and all of them can be retrofitted with bulk inks. The Mutoh 1304 54" printer is available but the price tag is in the mid teens.
