Re: Graphtec's new cutter CE-5000 When I was first considering getting a vinyl cutter, the CE3000-Mk2 is the cutter I first decided on getting after my research. It should be a fine machine from a fine company, though I never found an actual seller I was too thrilled about.
This new version (I hadn't heard of it until now) is probably pretty similar, just just minor upgrades would be my guess. I imagine you will be happy with it if you decide to get it, but I doubt it's really better than the RX-24 (equal isn't too unlikely, though). One bonus to the RX-24 is that you can get a very long warranty for it if you buy it from Josh at Imprintables, and it doesn't cost much more (but IS lacking a stand, which is expensive to get seperately).
Overall, I'd say they are both good choices. I think some of the smaller issues (if you need a stand, slight price differences, warranty, etc.) are what you'll be comparing; the units themselves should both be very solid. Do note that this is just based on my research of the two models, since I've not had a chance to personally try either yet. |
