I have a GX-24 cutter why does it cut around all my text twice?

What software are u using to cut from?

I am using Corel x4. Mainly use it for text and put a cut line around it.

Is it doing a double cut with every job that you send to the machine?

Any chance your text has accidently had 2 cutline's applied, what happens if you create a box does this cut twice?

yes it will do it on every job. When I do a test cut it will give me a single cut.

Are you typing out the text and then putting another cut line around that? If so, that would be why you're double cutting. The text you type is the cut line. There's no reason to put another cut line on there. The cutter reads vector lines and the typed text is already vector.

I had a similar problem with multiple cut lines. Turns out like you, I had multiple lines coming from Corel. I converted it to a polyline, then broke the polyline and started moving things around. Doing that showed the second cut line hiding behind the front line....

In Corel, convert your text to curves (Ctrl-Q) and remove the outline ... only have it set as fill. When you copy to CutStudio it will have only one cut line.
