Question Anyone do Campaign Signs as a business?

For those of you who do campaign signs, when do you start advertising hard?

Say Primary is in mid may 2010 and general is nov. 2nd?

I thought of putting signs out advertising my price in yards where there are lots of traffic and newspaper ads?

any suggestions would help on what has helped you succeed and when to start!

God Bless

actualy, I think the "campaign" signs are screen printed, not vinyl. Vinyl is for custom work of a few pieces and not by the 100's.

wow!! i might have to really go back to doing better research. Was going to invest $1300 in a 24" cutter instead of investing alot more in a 4 color screen manual press. Thanks for the info, its really appreciated!

We print lots of them, 24x18, 28x22, 96x48 and sizes in between. We print them on a table with a vacuum and the larger sigs we print with a one arm squeege. You need special inks. If air dry you will need drying racks or if you use UV then you need a UV dryer. If just starting out it might be better to sub them out to begin with to make sure you have the need before investing in all the items needed. Inks cost over $100 per gallon.
