I've only been pressing t-shirts for a short period of time and quickly found out that I like weeding sign vinyl better than t-shirt vinyl. (been using Thermo-flex Plus) I decided I needed more hands involved holding the backing film (i think its called mylar) so I made a weeding board to help hold it flat. I start from the corner of the hold down bar (the L shaped object) and peel alway from it. The L shaped hold down bar had cam action levers and springs installed so that when I unclamp it it springs up so I can put the next piece in without lifting it up with my hands. Now I don't dread weeding t-shirt vinyl anymore.

That's an intriguing idea. How much of a difference does it make? Videos are cool.

I'm a high school woodshop teacher and I made it myself. I've been thinking about selling them since I have not seen anything like it before. But then again, I'm new to the t shirt business. I have no idea how much they would sell for.

They vinyl pretty much stays perfectly flat as long as you weed away from the corner that's clamped.
