Default clearsoft or imagejet dark for photo transfer to be applied to a biege canvas tote?

Hi I will be purchasing heat transfer paper and would like to know if you suggest using clearsoft or imagejet dark for photo transfer to be applied to a biege canvas tote I am wondering if the white shirt in the photo and faces will become beige with the light colored clearsoft paper and should I be using dark colored paper if I dont want my colors in the photo to change

Craig. If you use the ImageJet Dark keep in mind that you will be printing on a white background. You can see the application and results on our video at Instructional videos on applying t-shirt iron on transfers with a heat press by Pro World. You most likely will get some slight color change with the ClearSoft due to the beige background of the tote bags.

Thanks Ed you won my business I have viewed your videos today and in the past they are very helpful I really wanted to be clear that I wouldnt alter the skin color and white garments they are wearing in the family photo so in order for me not to risk any color change and having a unhappy customer I believe I should stick with Imagejet dark transfers when dealing with photos being place on any color garment other than white in the future. Is there a trick to making the image work on canvas? I used the softstretch jet pro for whites and the ends didn't take. Is it possible to put rhinestones on the canvas as well? I tried that and they didn't stick. Thank you.

Tracey. There are many types of canvas and most have a chemical coating which causes transfer application problems. We have an inexpensive promotional tote that has no coating. It is item #805.

Thank you. Just purchased some of your rhinestones too, so I'll check it out.

Do they work with hot fix rhinestones as well?

We have not tested that application but it should be ok.

We've printed on canvass & denim totes for years - no problem after a little experimentation. Found it best to "scuff up" the surface, and pre heat the tote first. We use a piece of medium sandpaper on a block of wood, or a wire brush to soften the cloth and remove any sheen on the fabric in the area of the transfer only. Preheat for 3-5 secs. at low pressure. Hope this helps!

You are talking about the rhinestones on canvas, right?
