are you needing to order in hoodies/t-shirts etc too? if so i noticed that pencarrie have started stocking vinyls and transfer paper alongside their clothing blanks. I usually order from mdpsupplies so don't know how it compares but if you're only getting a small amount you'll get stung in postage anyway might as well combine your blanks and vinyl/paper postages and maybe even meet their postage free minimum.

MDP sell clothing too and their price for the low quantities is the best i've found
ah, didn't realise! Just had a look and their prices are good - slightly more than pencarrie but good in that you can get volume discount for mixtures of coolours and sizes.
As for vinyl type it depends on your garment material type and the effect you're wanting.
First off is your garment cotton, cotton mix, nylon etc. If it's a stretchy material you'll want a vinyl that will stretch with it, for example express do a range for this.
Then even if you're using cotton or cotton mix there's a choice of vinyls including flock, chromed foils, matt, shiny, glow in the dark etc, depending on the style and finish you want.
Vinyl varies widely even between the different companies and everyone seems to have their favourate. Best thing to do is phone a selection of these companies and request samples and give them a try, you'll find they vary in things like hand (i.e. how it feels and sits on the fabric) ease of weeding, ease of application etc. Most of the companies will be more than willing to do this and you can find a vinyl you're happy working with.

basically for cotton and poly cotton blends the 'normal' vinyl is the MDF flex or Hot Flex.
Cool flex has their chrome foil colours and special effects, Pro flock is flocked (like suede), Nylex for nylon and artflex has designs on it. All have a summary of how to apply if you click on them.
