Hi to all, i'm looking for a bit of help/advice as to what ink to use. i have an Epson D120 and also a D92 both of these printers work fine but i do not have ink for any of them. i want to heat press onto 100% cotton light colored or white t-shirts and have trawled through these pages and can't seem to find the answer i'm looking for.
Durabrite inks, Pigment inks are they both the same thing? at the moment my PC is hooked up to an Epson DX4400 with standard compatible inks bought from Ebay will this do the job?
somewhere upstairs i have an Epson R285 that came with a full CISS filled with dye-subli ink that i haven't used yet but i'm told this is no good for 100% cotton??
any help or advice would be very much appreciated.. cheers.. Tony

Hello Tony,
Durabite ink is a brand of pigment ink that works well for heat pressing onto light 100% cotton t-shirts. Their are other pigment inks on the market but the ink that comes with your printer works great for what you are trying to do. Also the DX4400 uses Durabrite ink so you should be fine.

For transer paperl like the Inkjet 1000 or DarkJet you will need pigment ink, it's more expensive than the cheaper Dye Ink. The main difference I can see is that pigment ink is waterproof where dye based ink will wash out.
