hey boys and girls, since this is a US dominated site, it can be hard finding suppliers suitable for us, which is why i decided to compile a list of vendors based in the UK, i cant vouch for each of their credibility, but some of them i can (il put a green star next to those) please add to the list if anyone has any others

Well in that case, you have missed one of the bigger suppliers off there, www.thetransferpress.co.uk . You also need to point out that Milford New Photo don't actually have a UK base as such, which means you can end up waiting up to two weeks for your order, if their (unknown) UK contact, is out of stock.

I am sure that people will also add screen printing, dtg, sublimation and other suppliers to this list, that have a presence in the UK.

The best way to establish contact with potential suppliers, is through the print trade shows that are held regularly at the NEC and other venues. You can see all the equipment available, see test prints, watch demonstrations, learn about new developments, attend workshops and go home with lots of freebies.

From browsing this forum and using google/ browsing websites, I'm getting the feeling that the screen printing industry has largely chosen to ignore using the power of the Internet as a commercial medium i.e. ecommerce, to the SME market? It's damn frustrating using the Internet trying to find suppliers and prices after a decade or so of being out of the game.

i know just what you mean mhuk, and alot of them havent even heard of plastisol transfers once u do find them, when is the next NEC thing, anyone know?

The main trade show in the UK is Printwear and Promotion, which is on from 1st March 2009 - You can find out more at www.printwearandpromotion.co.uk.

The other trade show that attracts a lot of attention is Sign & Digital UK, which is on from 28th April 2009 - Again, you can find out more at www.signuk.com.
