Hi,

I'm just starting about to buy some waterbased inks for screen printing. I'm looking at getting some catalyst, but it's looking like it will be arond £70 +VAT for a 1ltr.

1// Does anyone know where I can get smaller quantities, say around 250mm?

I've looked around and can only find similar prices and only in 1ltr tubs.

2// Also, should the catalyst be branded the same as the inks, or will any catalyst work?

3// Should I just forget the catalyst and stick with an iron and heat gun when I'm just starting out?

Wicked printing stuff sell catalyst in small quantities.i use just waterbased and although i now have a tunnel dryer i started off with just a heat gun/iron combo and never had any problems.best way is to get a flash curer if you can't get a tunnel dryer.you will be sure of a total cure then

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the reply. I know wickedprintingstuff sell 250mm amounts, however I've read too many negative things posted about them. I might give them a go though. They can't be all that bad.
