Anyone dealt with this company in Derbyshire?
They have extremely cheap (Chinese) presses.
Normally I stay clear of these , however they have a mug press for £99 which includes vat & delivery. They even have flat presses up to 32inch.
The seller you mention, doesn't always have the items in stock, even though they are listed on their site. Incidentally, they also have a shop on EBay where you can check out their feedback.
I have heard of them before, for the sewing machines, but not had any experience. It's a tough one, looks too good to be true. As Will says check out ebay first.
At least if you buy one you can test it for us and do a report!!
We use a both a dual head and single head machine as well as a Mug Machine (4 mugs at same time) If you are looking for a cheap option then the Mug Machine takes some beating, it was selling for £199 including 4 required wraps through SubliNation.
Mixed reviews over the years about performance etc. comparted to presses but it's not really something you can compare. My DK3 mug press is great but at £800 it should be. Mug Machines take some beating especially if you're just starting out in mugs.
The Mug Machine is just a desktop oven which I've seen advertised in a newspaper for £39. Even cheaper in discount electrical outlets.
From what I've heard from people who specialise in mugs is that the presses are superior to wraps.
I bought a 15X15 swing away and a mug press.....but not from Jys....I imported direct from their manufacturer in China so cut out the middleman.
The presses are well made ( saw them at Sign UK before I ordered) and so far I have not had any problems with them.

Quite possibly but having used mug presses for several years and a Mug Machine (oven) for 2 years I can see that they both have a place. Unless you're willing to buy a good quality press and won't be churning out 100's of mugs each day the logical path is the MM. Cheap presses often struggle with full-wrap prints which are simple with the MM.
Hi. Looking at subli-nation, the mug machine is now £299 plus VAT.
I have dealt with subli-nation in the past, but their operation seems to be in a bit of a turmoil at the moment. Not everything listed is available and they still haven't set up dealers yet?
For that price you would be better off buying a built in oven with a kitchen unit, it would take a lot more than 4 wraps.
I've never had any dealings with Subli-nation but the turmoil you mention seems to be an ongoing problem, I've never heard anything but negative comments about them.
I ordered one of the heat presses from joysewingmachines about 6 weeks ago. It stated on the website that it was in stock. I phoned up 2 days later and they said there was a 2 week delay. Then when it was expected I phoned again, they were still testing them I would have it on Tuesday. Tuesday I phoned, there was a delay I would have it on Friday. Friday I phoned there was a delay so I cancelled.
They were advertising them on ebay so I emailed to ask if they were in stock and how soon would they despatch. They emailed back and said their messaging system wasn't working and gave me a number to phone. So I have to say I wouldn't recommend them.
I bought one of ebay on auction from lhmark, it arrived two days later and it works great.
