Hi i have an idea for a t-shirt i would like to do with the british bulldog on and the british flag and also some certain wording on the t-shirt are you just allowed to do this or would i need to seek permission first thanks for any help in advance

the uj is not copyrighted nor is a picture of a dog, as long as your wording is unique and no one can say you have copied their design i would print it. i went to a show at the nec in sept and there were three different suppliers selling items with the bulldog on a uj. no one complained so if it was me and i knew i genuinly put the wording with the 2 pictures i would do it.

A particular drawing can be copyrighted, but a British Bulldog? Even Nick Griffin hasn't tried that yet.

Just make sure your bulldog is not wearing a burqa otherwise you could be in big sh--t.

If that,s the case then try to copyright the design. You could end up with quite a bunt seeing that Nick,s popularity is shooting up.

The bloke is a pratt of that there is no doubt...and he is best mates with a bloke from the KKK...says it all really.

The British bulldog is supposed to represent national pride within the United Kingdom. Like many other symbols it will no doubt get hijacked by those with extremist views.

As regards copyright issues, it has literally been around for decades and its true origin is not certain. I doubt if anyone could lay definitive claim to such a generic national symbol.

On the other hand the dog is a picture and presumably someone owns the copyright of that particular image. I'm sure the BNP wouldn't want to break the law. :-)
