 New, no experience

Recent events have kicked my behind into gear a little...
Firstly I have no idea what I'm doing in the clothing / accesories industry, I can write a bop on business plan, I've spent countless hours scouring sites in China / Bangladesh etc for suppliers of this and that but...I need to start small.
I've just had a couple of shirts done which are pretty cool. But I was wondering who does the nearest cut to Zoo York shirts in the UK, quality for now is not of concern just some shirts with that nice baggyish cut for promo work.
I've been a silent visitor on many forums and have shortlisted a few styles, AAA 3031 (I think) mainly bought by the skate brands and a couple of Gildan styles have taken my fancy.
I know this is the T-Shirt forum but can anybody point me in the direction of a good Jean manufacturer or supplier, looking at Dickies Carpenter styles?
