Default Cheaper: tags or no tags?

Tags:
1. Have old ones removed = $
2. Have new ones made = $
3. Sew new ones on shirts = $

Tagless:
1. Have tags removed = $
2. Have tagless label screen printed/heatpressed on shirt = $

What have you guys found to be the cheaper alternative?

To be more descriptive I'm thinking satin printed labels vs. screen printed tagless labels

Tagless will be your cheaper option, especially is you buy shirts with tear-away labels or are willing to cut them out yourself.
