I would have searched this first if I could think of the name i'm trying to describe, so forgive me in advance...

Alot of shirts these days have animals attached on them, whether its Ecko's rhino, Lacoste's alligator, and the moose from American Eagle im guessing.(don't wear that brand).

My questions are, what the hell is it called that I'm talkin' about? What companys manufacture those? And how are they actually attached to the shirt without actually embroidering them.

I think the word you maybe looking for is applique. It is an embroidered patch. It can be applied using a heat press with a special adhesive back, and some here have used a heat set glue.

Maybe some of the embroiderers here can chime in can paint an better picture of how it can be done.
