I am planning to apply for an RN number, but there is one thing I am not sure of. As of now, my company's name has an exclamation mark in it, but the problem is, my name is not registered under a business liscense or trademark (etc.). When I apply for an RN, under the "legal name" box, what am I supposed to write? Am I allowed to apply for an RN even though I don't have my company registered yet? Do I still use an exclamation mark?
Pretend my company's name was "WOW! Clothing". Under legal name would I write "WOW Clothing" or "WOW! Clothing" (exclamation vs no exclamation)? Also, What would I type under Company name?
Also, as a side question, if I am a clothing brand that plans to sell to other stores and online, which of the following would legally apply to me: (distributor, importer, manufacturing, retailer and/or wholesaler)?

I believe you should file for a state business license first (does your state not require a business license to legally operate as a business?). Since you are planning to sell directly to the end customer, plus retail stores, you have the choice of labeling yourself as a wholesaler or retailer.
I think your RN search is the first thing to do cause that is the legal name that will be registered on the license. You have to make sure the name is available. When you apply for the RN they just look at the name,I don't think they care about quotes or exclamtion marks etc.
You would be under retailer
