Default Best Shippment method??

Hey everyone....just started my own T shirt and Hoodie business....and I was wondering?

What is the most cost conscious and effective way of shipping my products?
because T shirts are easy and small...

but hoodies are obviously hard to fit in smaller ways of shipping...
Any techniques...ideas??
What do you do and aprrox how much does it cost...

Thanks in advance!!!

There's not really much you can do about the size and weight of a hoodie - if it's big, it's big. The best thing you can really do is make sure whatever you package it in is reasonably light, like a soft plastic mailing bag. That way you're only paying for the weight of the hoodie itself and not excessive packaging ...

Alternatively, you could try and squeeze your hoodies into mailing tubes, or small boxes. Any package thicker than a couple of inches will be classified as a parcel anyway, so compare the costs at your PO and see what the cheapest/nicest option is.

Check USPS, online clicknship w/free delivery confirmation. I keep an array of the free mailers and boxes provided by the USPS and pick which works best for whatever order I'm shipping and keeps my mailing material cost to a minimum.

Most times shirts ship in one of the poly mailers, I prefer to use one of the boxes for most of my sweatshirts/hoodies - seems to be a tight squeeze in the polybag. On larger orders, I check to see if the flat rate boxes are a better deal than regular.
