Which is better and why?

I'm not sure "better" is the right choice of words. I believe you can get a bit more detail on printed tags, but the woven has a feeling of quality IMHO. It depends on what you want and what you think the customer would want.

Hello High,

Chris is right the woven label does have a higher quality look but also
You can sew a woven label on the outside of a garment and have that be part of the overall branding campaign.
The printed label has to be placed inside the garment because after a few washes the look would not be a crisp as a woven label.
We have clients that use both. I hope this was helpful.

I prefer the look of woven, and they hold up much better. AA's printed tags look good. I think in general printed tags are more likely to get dirty, worn out, etc. and lose their content though.
