You may want to check with Alibaba. That seems to be a site where you can find buyers looking for manufacturers.

Another tip would be to work with a US based web development firm to have them build a website for you that really focuses on the US market.

By working with a US web design firm, I think you'll make sure you avoid all the pitfalls that many chinese factories fall into when they start their web presence like:

1) Grammar that may put off potential buyers
2) Not enough detailed information about the process
3) Not enough photographs of factory and products
4) Poor navigation and slow loading pages
5) Not addressing all the concerns a US buyer may have when dealing with an overseas factory
6) Spamming internet forums with advertising messages that make it seem like all they want is a quick buck

==========
thanks alot!
that absolutely is a good idear.but i am don't know how to do it yet.
what if i contact desigh firm and tell them:i can provide free specimen if desigh firm provide me drawing.but i am afraid may be i will sending them advertise by e-mail. I know spamming is bad,but at least provide free specimen sounds good, doesn't it? what do you think about it?

Alibaba is good.but i am rookie, right? I need accumulated experience, then do some big wholesale, like in alibaba.
thanks for your advising

What if you opened a distribution warehouse in the US, and hired US sales representatives to sell your product within the united states? That way you can ship in bulk to your warehouse, which will distribute the product within the US on a per-order basis. The sales and distribution team in the US will handle all of the US sales, shipping and inventory control, and the chinese central office (you) would handle the manufacturing and shipping to your US facility.

I'm talking about hiring a web design firm (not a t-shirt design firm) to create a website for you.

That would just mean that you do some research in Google or on freelance sites like elance.com, guru.com, odesk.com, find a good company or post a project. Pay them to create a quality website for you.

I don't think it would be considered spam if you are trying to *pay* or *hire* someone via their website. Or contracted them through a freelance site.

Spam would be if you tried to sell someone your products via email.

Don't offer them your sample products in exchange for a design. Just pay them with regular money to build a quality website for you

but hire US sales sounds need a lot of money, and lot of risk. I am in china, and i think cry to manage a shop in US is contain too much risk.

thanks.

i make misunderstanding, all i throught "web desigh firm" is a "web tshirt desing firm".

i am trying to creat a web site,i know marketing in US the web site is necessary.in our local marketing,we sale throught web site, too. In china, there a plenty guys work in web-design field,i can contact them in local.this web site will use US webhosting.

i still have a confuse:after i build a website, what do you think if i spam, try to sale products, and contact t-shirt design firm, claim we can produce clothing through their drawing.no matter we try to sell,or produce t-shirt buy their drawing, examples are free.but my question is:what is the US people's attitude to spam?will they think that kind of advertise have no credibility?
