After word of mouth, what type of advertising would you suggest for a t-shrit printer?

Thanks for the information BAZ0304, it's nice to know. It's been sitting in a wharehouse for about 4 months now because I have a building being built in the back of my house. Question, I have always just done my advertising by word of mouth but i really need to advertise now so i can keep this machine running any suggestions of the best way to do this? I really need to do this especially now that my girlfriend decided to leave me and the mortgage all to my self. She never did understand this field.

The whole mortgage thing stinks. You are going to have to handle this on a budget then. COLD CALLING...it's cheap, (not) easy, but it gets your name out there. Pick an office park and start-a-stoppin-in. Yeah, it might not be your bread and butter accounts, but diversify a little into direct sales to end users and you'll be set.

I mean, if all you do is surf apparel, what happens when global warming causes a shift in the thermal patterns of the ocean and the surf subsides? Looks like you might find yourself in the boogie board market! Of course, that is if you buy into the hysteria.

Internet marketing is cheap and easy if you know what you are doing. Especially if you have friends in that industry already, link to their sites and have them link to yours. Google loves links.

Yes the mortgage thing can suck but I'm pretty fortunate to have gotten in at
the right time. Realestate is exxxxxpensive. I have been surfing for about
23 years now and will never stop. This is how i got into this indutry and i love it. Hey Baz, how is the business in England? Love to go there someday.

hi surfer, business is manic at the moment, we were talking today about how did we ever manage to do all this work with the manual machines.
the problem we have at the moment is the lack of gildan hooded tops, its the same every year...
you say you would like to come to England someday ! im up for a house swap !!!! or if you need any training on your machine, it wont cost you to much !!!
i agree with the comments mk162 you must diversify with your business at the start, take on anything and it will build up in no time.
we must sort a link out, do you have a web site.

One suggestion is get a social networking account. Myspace can be incredibly helpful. Alot of bands and independant clothing firms out there who are essentially run by kids who are looking for a screenprinter. Most of the ones ive experienced look on Myspace.
This teenage-young adult market accounts for alot of my work, all beit I print smaller runs, but it can help bit by bit with your mortgage.
Down side to this is spending abit of time adding loads of people on Myspace, took me 4/5 months of solid networking to get to a position where I could start to feel self-sufficient from the work I was taking on.
It worked for me though and was a nice supplement to the bread and butter, might help you out too man.
cheers
Anthony
