Absolutely advertise. Also, right now is when spring baseball teams in my area are taking quotes for uniforms for the spring and summer leagues. If you know an athletic director or someone over a Little League Baseball league, now is the time to hit them up.

Churches will be getting ready for bible school the first week of may around here, too.

make sure your everyday clients have plenty of your cards and ask them to tell their freinds about you.

networking and word of mouth are you best freinds in this business.

you could also look into joining a local business networking group like BNI

Push the versacamm.

It takes care of your advertising needs, and people can see what you can do.
People always need signage. Good time to advertise- keep your business on everyone's mind.
If people are compelled to inquire about your services or products by your advertising- especially in print- they'll see the value- and buy.

Gear up for the t-shirt orders in March.

I agree. Do you really want to do t-shirts which will time away from your sign shop? If you want to do both, great. But it sounds like you would have a good niche doing signs if you were to focus marketing just on the signs. There are people, business who need signs all year long vs. t-shirts which can have a down period.

on the flip side stay close to what you are good at, expanding into all things graphics without the experience to put out a quality product will ruin your business quickly, it only takes a couple bad jobs to ruin your reputation.
