It is not so much about selling from your web site as much as it is what you have to sell. geting people to your website involves making sure your site is SEO (Ssearch Engine Optimized)Is it designed properly. Do you have the proper key words built in. Are your meta files set in your description. If not then it will set there.

Hi. First off you need a fully functional web site with an easy to remember name. Your products need to cleanly displayed and easy to find. Customers need to be able to order and pay online very quickly.

If all of those in in place and you are selling a good range of products at a realistic price, then the best marketing will come from customers buying your product. They will inevitably recommend your site to others.

There are hundreds of ways to promote and market your site. Some will be successful and some will fail miserably. It's a question of trying everything on a small scale and eliminating the ideas that yield poor results.

Hope this helps.

Ok I came across this website last week:

I don't know if it works/ is inexpensive, but I found it rather unique. (It reminds me of this artist I read about last year who did 1000paintings). Basically they only print 100 tees of each design. Each one is individually labelled, and the price of each tee follows the number. i.e. #1 = $1.00, #2 = $2.00, #17 = $17.00 etc. u get the picture. Thing is, i'm quite curious as to how many ppl are willing to spend more than $45 for a tee, cos my personal max is about $40 for a really good/ cool t-shirt . the other thing is, I think ppl might feel better (at least I would) if a fixed percentage of each tee (regardless of selling price) goes to some charity. That might actually bring some meaning to, say, the $100 tee other than having the number 100 on its back. do a google for 200 nipples (safe for work, no worries)

I'm not saying rip off the idea here. Just thought its a pretty unique in its own right and might be an inspiration to come up with our own cool marketing ideas :-)

Another idea I remembered thinking "ooh this is cool" was a site that offers a new t-shirt a day, and the more orders they receive, the cheaper it gets i.e. they give out refunds. I think I actually learned of it from this here forums , I think it's called Shirt a Day if I'm not mistaken.

Hope this helps, Allan. have you thought up of anything ? :-)
