Default cold call question...

Hi, how are u? I'm frazzeled, have a question on what to do.
With cold calling, when you call the store, should you ask to speak to the buyer OR get the buyer's info BEFORE you even launch into your mini speech?
Because u may just be wasiting your time with a retail floor person who will be like, whatever.
lol
Just thought I'de ask.
thanks

Get your foot in the door. You'll never be able to sell designer shirts with just a phone call. I'd call and ask to make an appointment to visit the store and show whatever it is you are trying to show, rather than going into any long speech.

The person on the other end of the phone will either be the person you need or the person will transfer the call to their boss.

If asked how long you need, say all you need is 5 minutes. The designs will speak for themselves. If they are not interested, it would be a waste of everybody's time to talk any longer. If they like what they see, you can leave some samples and schedule another appointment.

For my screen printing business, the call would simply ask when i can come by and drop off a free sample.

I've found that if you simply ask "Can you help Me" who does the buying for your designer tee's.
Most people when ask can you help, like to.
