Default Big T brands using generic tees?

I'm starting a skateboard tees for boys/mens. Can anyone give me an idea (how many-in percentage) if these big /known skateboard brands use generic tees for their line? I noticed the fabric, colors, quality & price of majority are similar, maybe re-labeled?
If this big companies use generic tees, all they do is create the artwork, burn screens, print and deliver. What is the standard turn-around time from receipt of order to goods on the floor? Thank you in advance your thoughts, advice and suggestions

Stella, you would have to check with a local printer, as they may be busy or slow for turn around time. But I would give them 2 weeks. Shirt quality, if its a "HOT DESIGN" that they want shirt brand doesn't matter in my opinion.

Hi Uncle John
I thought so too, brand awareness is the 1st buying power, then comes quality: fabric, comfort, fit & sturdiness. ... be it blank/generic tee, does not matter. do you guys agree with me?
But my other question is, what is the standard pace in turn around time (from selling to delivery of goods to the selling floor?) Example, if i show my line to this certain specialty store, when do they expect me to deliver? Ive been working with contemporary tee-companies and our selling to delivery is usually 5 months after sales show. It is contemporary though and needs lots of time. I was thinking of going with the tide the "ever-successful-rat-race".
Thank you again in advance for your thoughts, advice and positive support.

What do you mean by "generic"?

Many skatebrands use wholesale t-shirts you may be able to buy yourself and just have them relabeled.

A popular one is Alstyle and Independent Trading Company. They make t-shirts and hoodies for many bigger sportwear brands.

When we sold to Acamedy & Galyans they gave us about 30 days from purchase order till due/ cancel date. but they worked with us if we needed more time.

Stella, we also never relabeled, We used Gildan, FOL or whatever as long as it was 100% cotton and 6.1 oz.
Hope this helps.
