 Retail Sales terms?
Can anyone help me? I'm wondering if there are standard tems within the industry when marketing my line to retail shops in my area. For example...does the store buy my apparel then mark it up to sell? If so, is there a limit to that mark up? Do I have say in that limit? or do I place apparel on cosignment and hope that it sells and that the retailer tracks and reports sales properly? Is there a standard discount given to retailers who buy in bulk? Payment terms 15 or 30 days? Standard turn around times from order to delivery?
I'm sorry, I know this is a lot of information but any feed back will be greatly appreciated and very helpful I'm sure.
