Hi !!

I'm now working hard on my business plan and everything goes well but I have some difficulty to find real data about the tees market. Looking trought the forum I notice that Im not the only one in this situation.

This first link is about SGIA Survey report, you have to be a member(150$) if you want the full report but you have acces to the summary report for free as well... really interesting data.

Here's a little story about me...

It been like 1 year that Im working on this... not only on my business plan but on the idea in general. In first I was thinking about starting my online t-shirt business with the heat transfert technology but one year later Im about to start my own screen printed t-shirt line most in a local and regional market, starting by distributing my product in some local store.

Instead of most of you I decide to present my idea to the government in the way to receive financial help and subvention from them. My first presentation was reject and I was desappointed but I modified my idea and ask for an other chance to prouve that my project can be successful. This time it was accepted. Yes !!

They give me a weekly allocation and a subvention witch is allow me to work full time on my project for a 8 months period. Ok this subvention was very low but it allow me to pay the bills and also allow me to take 2 private training in screen printing witch was really helpfull.

Now Im about to switch for an other program, a program that will help me starting my business for real instead of only helping me developing the idea. This new program mean for me a better subvention and a weekly allocation for a maximum of 3 years.

There is many option for someone who want to start in this business. There is many programs available. With my little experience I can tell you that whatever the way you'll choose you'll face many difficulty of many sort but keep in mind that starting a business isnt so easy you will have to work very hard. But it probably worth the hard time.

If you are only motivated by the money think twice before starting this. Yes, in any business, the profit are very important but in my case it was not my first motivation. I am a lot more motivated by my personal achievement and I think this will be the reason why I will succeed.

Therefore I'm not sure yet if I will succeed but I am confident and Im ready to work very hard for it. I encourage all of you to follow your dream because its exactly what I do and Im very happy.

Well said, PG - but always: Be sure ("I'm not sure yet if I will succeed...") - that way, when trouble comes (and trouble always comes), you'll be able to work through it until you reach your goal!
