Default Froogle, SEO, affiliates!!

Ive read some conflicting stories about froogle (or as I learnt it is now google base...cheeky buggars...they changed the name of it, froogle was a much catchier name! :P)

Some are saying they work really brilliantly for them, others are saying froogle/google base sucks.

What are people doing differently to each other? Id be very interested to know, is it numbers of items? the type of item submitted? the design alone? the name of the design? the effectivness of their submissions to froogle/google base?

I'll be using cubecart, it appears to have a google base exporting tool which I'll be using to test it out.

And SEO.... I guess its a fine art really, to tune it just right, sadly my cubecart works on php so it only sees the main page and if I change it manually it doesnt work when I click on to other links (a programming issue im sure)

AND

there are affiliates I can use built in with cubecart... one is clixgalore, shopzilla and I cant remmeber the others, any heard of these two? anyone have any luck or grief with them?

I think you'll generally find that same variance of opinions with most services like that.

Some people will say that adwords works brilliantly for them, others will say it's a drain of money. Both are correct

It could be the designs, it could be the implementation, it could be that nobody is searching for the products that the person is selling (the ones that aren't doing well).

There's an SEO module you can add to cubecart that will make it more search engine friendly. Which cubecart version are you using?

I've used clixgalore as an affiliate (not as a merchant), and it didn't seem to sophisticated.

I would recommend looking into shareasale once you decide to venture into adding an affiliate program to help market your products.

Version4 comes with a search engine friendly mod built into it. You just have to enable it.
