I work (my full time job) for a non-profit company that is having a fund raiser with an auction this fall. I would like to donate one of my t shirts for the auction . Figured it would be good marketing.

My question is: how do I account for this with the board of equalization for tax purposes, or do you need to?

You probably file it under "Advertising Expenses", which will be deducted out from your total income.
