marketing on you website would be the first step. then if you have any forums that relates to you market see if the forum will post a buliton or something say about you design contest.

just a hint. if you dont have anything for a prize the only response you will get is from people who arnt good at making designs.

i think he wants for people from his market to make a design.

it is sometimes hard to get an artist from a design site to really know what you talking about. for me i would rather have a fellow paintballer(my line is focuses on paintballer) to make my designs.

i dontg really get what you are saying

my reasons for doing a contest. in my case most people aren't professionals but they know what paintball really is. they know what paintballers will buy. they also have passion for the sport. i would rather have that than a design done buy soemone who went to collage for it.

you can also get a cheap design. you can offer a discounts or store credit to the winner.

you could do something like this

1st place- $50 store credit
2ns- 25 store credit
3rd-1 free shirt

you can get 3 deigns for little over 75 bucks

also you could kill 2 birds with one stone and have the people who will be buying your shirts vote on which ones are the best. that will also knock out your research. if you have lots of people voting one one shirt you can expect it to sell will.

i could have missed understood what you are saying but i think i hit it.

Hi,

I am new here, but have the same question. I am starting a new Surfing line. I would like to host a contest here for new designs. How can I do it? Of course I will pay for the designs and as an added bonus, at the ned of the selling season, whichever design sold the most, I will send that designer on all paid vacation to the birthplace of the line, Panama.
