[PLASTISOL TRANSFERS] - heat transfers used for major artist concert t-shirts: quickie review
Re: heat transfers used for major artist concert t-shirts: quickie review
Would you need any special items to put inside the hoodie in order to make the surface where the transfer is going even? Such as a a teflon pillow, oversized mousepad?
Would it be necessary for it to have some sort of channel to accomodate the raised material over the zipper so that you get an even transfer?

Many people use teflon pillows inside hoodies to make an even transfer surface.
Not sure what you mean by a channel, but when pressing the transfer straight down over seams, it seems to apply pretty smoothly.

Another thing to do when working with zippers or any uneven surface when heat printing is to use a heat printing Teflon covered pillow or silicone rubber pad underneath the item. Don't forget to decrease the pressure on the press when using a pillow or pad.

Sorry for the late post, but this just goes to show you how much people will spend for heat presses! Thanks for the post Rodney!
Also, if you wanted to make a press like this without custom plastisols from a supplier, would that mean you would first have to screen print onto the transfer, and then heat press the transfer onto the hoodie? Sounds like a load of work~
