Seperate posts by company. It will be easier to keep track of that way.

All in the same review post. It will be easier to compare them that way.

That would be great. I think the same post would be okay if you separate them by 2 or 3 spaces.

I can see the advantages to both, but I think I'd have to side with Solmu on this one (sorry Jasonda!) and vote for single thread. (I guess it could be multiple posts within the same thread, but it's probably just as easy to divide it up in the same post as it is to make multiple posts.)

I have a slightly sad update on Transfer Express - they do not recommend their hot splits for 100% cotton It is more suitable for blends. I did order a batch of those anyways and pressed 3 test 100% cotton shirts. You can get good results with those except for the results are inconsistent. Pretty much out of every 3-4 presses only one would come out good, and not really based on the settings just kind of for no reason
Well, it took me a little time, but I did get to love their goof proof ones. I washed my test shirts with those - and they came out great. Now the only thing that bummed me out is that I found out that if they do more than one color with the goof proof - they layer all the colors on top of each other which to me creates a slightly more hand-feel than the one color ones.

Rodney, you know their cobra sample that had three colors (black, white and orange)? Do you think it's noticeably thicker than the all white hammer sample? I was going to order a text with a contrast colored outline to it thinking that the outline would have been printed just like that - outline, instead of being a fully filled layer underneath the text. So now I'm not sure.

I don't know if I got that one. I have a cobra sample from versatrans that I really like.

that is news to me.

as for the second part of your post.

I think I know were you're going.... ...transfer thickness etc.

yes, it is possible to print seperated colors without printing them on top of each other. There are limitations, like if you want to print a light color on a dark fabric, you may need another color (white) under it etc...this type of thing will thicken the transfer.

But, this is where designing for t-shirts is different than designing post cards.

Lucy,

You are right Sometimes I wonder how people ever understand what I'm trying to say lol.

- yes. Sometimes I forget
Anyways I changed the design so it'll be done with one layer of ink. Now I just need to figure out what's cheaper - transfers or contract screenprint.

It's something recent, that's what they told me on the phone. They said they had received a couple of complaints so they decided to be on the safe side. She did say that she still had customers who insisted on using their hot splits on 100% cotton. (sigh) oh well, maybe one day i'll have the time and will be able to find the magic formula for their hot split and my 100% blanks....

Does anyone know of another transfer co. that offers labels like InstaGraph's LabelTrans?

I think several transfer companies can do screen printed labels. I know Image Setter's can, even Imprintables has some printed labels that they can do (not screen printed, but very durable).

I think I saw some from Airwavesinc and VersaTranz as well.

Rodney what was the contact info for ImageSetters? I remember it was forum member here right? And they didn't have a website.
