| Re: Making my first custom t-shirt with cut vinyl, a vinyl cutter and a heat press Hi,
I'm new here and I saw the youtube video of the heat press (superman). Can some one tell me what king of inkjet paper was he use for the superman logo. I went to imprintables.com and couldn't fine it.
Also imprintables.com has the Roland GX-24 Cutting Package, does this already include that inkjet paper that he use.
Thanks,
Pinoy | |

| Re: Making my first custom t-shirt with cut vinyl, a vinyl cutter and a heat press You can overlap the vinyl on the shirts, but you have to be careful. If the pices on top are small, they tend to peel up after a few washings because they do not have as much adhesive on them to keep them down.
Also, you can see some of the darker materials through lighter ones, so you have to really plan ahead.

| Re: Making my first custom t-shirt with cut vinyl, a vinyl cutter and a heat press This is a related item, and I thought it might make sense to post here.
I am using 24" paper in my Roland GX-24 (had it for three days now - making great progress). But one thing we have noticed is, when we load the paper in the machine and then use "get from machine" to size it up, it is always around 18-19 inches. We move the pinch rollers here and there, but it doesn't seem to help.
Also, we noticed that the GX-24 cuts a light margin - I think when it reads the paper when you turn it on. Not a big deal, but I guess you shouldn't move the paper once its been loaded.
Anyone know how to get to actually using 23-24 inches on the machine?

| Re: Making my first custom t-shirt with cut vinyl, a vinyl cutter and a heat press Well it isnt foil and it isnt chrome. It looks like brushed alum. but it does have a shine in the light. I dont remember if it was ordered as storm grey or antique silver. I think I just asked for silver. Anyway...it looks good on black. | |

| Re: Making my first custom t-shirt with cut vinyl, a vinyl cutter and a heat press I have some glitter vinyl samples that are very cool. Problem is they eat my plotter blades.
For vinyl users please note the fine line breaks in the simple design. Form follows function and those lines are there as an accent in the design as well as allowing the vinyl to stretch a bit.

| Re: Making my first custom t-shirt with cut vinyl, a vinyl cutter and a heat press Great examples everyone!
I've seen glow in the dark paper, but does anyone know of glow in the dark vinyl? Those foils are great too!
Here are some samples I've done on Lycra / Nylon for martial arts.
