1) After you made your cut, did your blade look like it "moved"? I mean, did it get pushed in a little? I think mine moved after I did my cut. I will check with Josh also regarding this.
I didn't look at the blade after doing my test cuts. I just kept on cutting

2) Do you know what kind of vinyl Rowland provided as a Test-Use Material? I am looking into getting some of those vinyl (decal type) materials to print some decals for my business.
Not sure what kind of vinyl they incuded as the test sheet, but you can get some good info on where to find "decal" type vinyl here.

Stupid question from a newb but, How do you use a variety of colors on a vinyl cutter?

You have to cut and weed each color individually. Because that might be rather time consuming, vinyl is generally best for simple designs with less than 3 colors.

More or less an inkjet printer that can print directly onto the fabric.

Im new to this so forgive the ignorance.... Are you saying that tshirt has vinyl printed on it? If so, why? Whats the advantages? What does it look like? With the pic of your black tshirt, its hard to see any diff.

Is it truely vinyl on the shirt and does it stand out well? If so, can you really see much difference in the vinyl on small lettering?

Can anyone point me to a good picture of vinyl prints?

Thanks!

The vinyl is actually applied to it much like any other heat transfer.

Letters, numbers, imaging, single/double color applications, etc.

Here are some areas to see vinyl on shirts (I am sure others will add to the list for you)

Here

Josh's heat transfer vinyl video

badalou's "love"

Some of Lou's and mine

I just got back from a trip to NC. While I was there, I was wearing one of my shirts and a guitar player commissioned a front/back shirt to wear on stage. I just finished it. here are some pics (The image is straight, the pics I took don't show the ripple in the black shirt... and yes, COEDS, I added more flames... lol)

Thanks.

I saw a girl with a black shirt with a silver looking design on it. I was across the parking lot so I didnt get a good view nor could I ask her about it. It was very reflective to the point of 'chromish' looking. It looked cool and definitely caught my eye.

I'm wondering if this could this be a vinyl print.

Could be. Check out the Spectra Foils. There's a chrome and a holographic vinyl.
