[SPREADSHIRT] testing t-shirt quality (not print quality) - any good product feedback?
testing t-shirt quality (not print quality) - any good product feedback?
I've ordered a few sample tees from spreadshirt, but while I'm waiting (a few weeks to ship to Canada), I thought I'd put the question out there: has anyone put any tees to the test with good or bad results? worn them/washed them/worked them well?
I'm familiar with the usuals - american apparel, bella, fruit of the loom, but spreadshirt also has some good looking shirts by continental, alternative apparel, and jonano for organic and bamboo.
I want to offer higher-end shirts, but only if the quality can justify the higher prices. Any advice on products or testing product quality?

Well, if anyone else is interested, I'm happy with what I've seen. It's really great that Spreadshirt has some good organic options, and I can definitely say I <heart> bamboo.

They have two brands for bamboo, ALO and Jonano. The long-sleeve Jonano is the one I ordered, and I love it. I also thought it was also decently-priced for bamboo.
I also like Continental clothing's earth-positive tees, which are reasonably priced for really soft, organic cotton.
The best find might be the Alternative Apparel Unisex tee. It's soft and looks good, and costs no more than most standard shirts even though it is organic. As a unisex tee, though, I find it leans pretty heavily toward men's cuts.
This is more of an industry complaint probably, but my biggest disappointment is the lack of good designs for slightly larger women. There are few choices for those women who are not plus size, but also not model-slim. Lots of women have curves, and they like t-shirts too.

This is VERY true and something I've been noticing for a while (years). I'm surprised that no manufacturers have picked up on that specific niche.
I know that Hanes has a few styles, but nothing like what's available in the "junior" type styles.

The alternative apparel "standard" shirt (AA05 I think it is) is indeed a *very* nice t-shirt. We used it for our first run of t-shirtforums tees. Nice and soft.

I haven't heard of Jonano, but I've heard of ALO (although I didn't know ALO carried Bamboo)
Thanks for posting your feedback on the garments here!
