Default 2 colour logo/design

I have see lots of 2/3 colour designs from other spreadshirt shops where they use 2 colours that seem to join seemlessly.

I have a logo that I am trying to convert to artwork ready, but from reading the specs on the spreadshirt site it is not clear how to prpare 2 colour designs.

Say I want to do 2 Colours on a yellow t-shirt for example and it uses white do I print over the background colour like this?

Or do the items have to be cut out seperatley? If so how do they get them to register exactly without any gaps?

I've seen some good designs printed in a few colours like these examples:

http://derby.spreadshirt.net/756.0.h...ission_id=1040
http://derby.spreadshirt.net/756.0.h...ission_id=1002

Any advice would be a great help.

Slinky

you want to reverse your seps. Print the red on top of the white.

Thanks for the reply. That's cool I understand that about revesing the seps.

Will I however need to allow a bit of trap to the white so no gaps are visible? Also (sorry!) is this acceptable within spreadshirt.com's artwork requirements?

Thanks.

yes always best. Either add a small outline (black) to the red plate or choke the white underbase by adding a small white outline.

You can make your logo look like your third image above (on the yellow background) and upload it to spreadshirt. Just make the background white instead of yellow.

They will convert the vector file and allow you to change the color of the white and red areas once you are designing your product.
