Question Newbie with a spreadshirt shop

Hello good people of the forums,

I have a couple of questions, especially for the people that have dual US/EU shops:
  1. Did you have to pay twice for a premium shop, once for each?
  2. Do you get any orders from outside the US or the EU (Japan, others)?
  3. If you have a Designer, how long before it payed off its $999 investment, and did you also have to pay twice if you wanted it on both sides of the atlantic?
  4. Have you figured out a way to avoid paypal to get your $$$ from across the pond?
  5. Do you handle your own customer support at all, or do you just let spreadshirt do their thing?
  6. Are you worried about letting people see that you outsource your shirts? (e.g. they could go into spreadshirt and do some shirts themselves)

1. Yes, I think you do

2. I don't think the US version ships to Japan? Not sure about the EU version.

3. Not sure on this one. I'm curious about the benefits of using the spreadshirt designer as well

4. PayPal works fine for me. No fees to receive and no fees to deposit in my account. You could contact them directly to see if they have other methods available.

5. Let spreadshirt do their thing since they handle the orders and reprints. It's good to put your contact information handy in case a customer does want to contact you about anything.

6. Nah. A very small minority of regular t-shirt customers is going to want to take the time to create it themselves (if they even have the ability). Part of what your selling on top of your unique designs is the convenience of not having to 'do-it-yourself'

He's talking about something is (sort of) totally separate than the regular or premium spreadshirt storefronts.

Spreadshirt allows people to "license" their spreadshirt-designer software and "rebrand" it for their own site. See this link for more info:
