Yep, you've read the topic right. I've made over $7000 with Spreadshirt this year. I can't believe it!
The funny thing is I'm not a designer at all. I can't for the life of me do graphics or use those photoshop programs. lol I basically just use the editor on Spreadshirt. I sell shirts that are geared towards the teen group... I don't want to give my secrets away but I basically design the clothes with phrases that have to do with big tv shows or movies or celebrities. Like for instance my big seller at the beginning of the year was a shirt that said "Just Being Miley" (something that Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus said)
I don't use anything copyrighted
My new biggest seller is a shirt that is dedicated to the tv show Gossip Girl (I've sold 20 shirts in the last week):

I don't believe it one bit. First off, the original poster has 1 post, just recently joined the forums, and the screenname is spreadshirt gal. It's definitely an ad for Spreadshirt, I think it's spam and not legit. Besides the style of writing sounds an awful lot like some of the bots you see in chat rooms or the "hey I just got a 500 dollar Macy's giftcard" comments on Myspace

Im with you im going to say thats an ad for spreadshirt. just to generic!nice try though
Re: I've made over $7000 with Spreadshirt this year
You need to be VERY careful. Phrases from TV shows and movies etc are the intellectual property of the screen producers, e.g. Fox etc. Publicly saying you've made X amount from selling just that is very risky for yourself and Spreadshirt.

These words, "Just being Miley" are copyrighted words from the chorus of her song "See You Again".
Re: I've made over $7000 with Spreadshirt this year
Well when I first read it, the first thing that came to mind was, no way. To take home $7,000 in 5 months, you have got to be rolling shirts out the door.
But then again, I woulda never believed threadless did $30 mil last year either.

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to repeat what Temple said above. I also work for Spreadshirt - I write the company blog - The US spreadshirt blog
I have been a member of t-shirt forums for awhile - you can see my past posts here - T-Shirt Forums - Search Results
I don't believe in spam posting and Spreadshirt doesn't like to advertise like that.
Let us know if you have any questions or anything else we can help with.
Thanks,
Lindsay

Let me just point out that there is no proof that the original poster works for spreadshirt.
It's not uncommon for someone to sell lots of merchandise through a fulfillment type site. Especially if they already have a dedicated audience for their designs or do the right type of advertising and promotion.
I don't think spreadshirt would condone that type of sneaky promotion and it's not something the company has ever done here in the forums.
So lets ease up on the accusations
One thing we can learn from this post is that an effective "topic" title can generate a lot of interest.
I'm a little confused as to what the topic is about. The title is very interesting, but the question in hte post doesn't seem to go with the title:

Anyway, if it is true, congrats to spreadshirtgal! Maybe you can share what types of advertising and promotion avenues worked for you to generate that type of sales volume.
