Hi all. i'm a newbe looking for advice on giving away my designs! free!!
I'll get straight to the point - i just set up a spreadshop with a 'basic account' this limits me to max' 3 designs, i will be allowed a further 5 when 10 products have been sold - presumably by who, Just from my shop? or can any spreadshop partner sell my designs on their products in their shops?
Is that a question i should ask in the official spreadshirt blog?
This is the way i want to build up my shop's own selection of products - without having to invest financially as am tired of my ideas going tits up.
My next port of call is to look at the T-Shirt Gallery and pop something up there, some inticing mockups perhaps.
Q, Is that the place to get the shop-partners interested in designs that they may wish to select for there own product range?

Reason: removed free offer

Yes, most likely there or contact them directly via the spreadshirt site.
But from what I understand, the sales must be from your own shop.

Which T-Shirt Gallery are you talking about? These aren't the official spreadshirt forums. You can get to those by accessing the spreadshirt site directly.
The T-Shirt Gallery on this site is just a place for t-shirt seller's to showcase their designs and link to the place where interested customers can buy them.
I don't think there is a a way to offer your artwork for free, however I don't think there would be any benefit in doing so.

Will pop over there.

I agree. pointless if sales have to come from only my shop.

Oh well, back to the coal face.
The English Spreadshirt forum can be found at English - Forum - the help is generally quite good and the Spreadshirt staff also participate, so if you want definitive answers that's the place
It's certainly possible to offer your designs with no commission on the marketplace but, as Rodney points out, this probably would not be helpful.
Personally, I ended up coughing up the cash and upgraded to Premium for 6 months.

Yup, quess i'll be taking the same root, however i'm going to hang out before i give in to premium membership and will try everything to sell 10 products from my spreadshop. I think its a challenge and will learn a lot about what 3 products product/designs would sell and how to go about 'marketing' ..a big word i know but look at this way - somewhere out in the street are these group of 10 people who don't know what they want till they see it (a t-shirt) so i reckon all i gotta do is figure out where they might be (some event somewhere local) then purchase the shirts well in advance myself and go sell 'em! Therefore acheiving the 10 sold products to get a further 5 products into my 'basic' spreadshop. That would give me a range of 8 products/designs a potential customer could choose, which i feel is a quantum leap from a miserable choice of only three.
I'm gonna disapear now to add up cost of ordering 10 products from my own shop now
