I wonder if anyone has done this with success. I have three small jobs that have 2 colors, but need 2 different sizes. They are small logos to go on two pair of shorts (20 pair each short style) and I slightly larger one to go on sweatpants (again 20 pairs)
I'm debating putting both those images on 1 screen each and set them up by using each end of the screen as my top. In that way I'll be making up 2 screens instead of 4. I'll tape off the image I'm not using then switch the tape and flip the screen around to the other image for the next size print.
Any thoughts
Joe

say you have 2 loctions on one tee. put both the front and back design on one screen and charge a set-up fee for 2 screens.
SET-UP FEE PER LOCATION
you gotta charge for the space their artwork takes up your screen. I cram as much as possible on one screen. Just keep in mind you wana keep dark and light inks together. And also if its a design you don think your gonna print again don't put it on the same screen as one you will be printing alot.
I've never not put 2 logos on a screen..lol Unless its a big front only.. That's just how I started out doing it. works great, less screens which means less cleaning
This is standard procedure at my shop. Saves on screens big time. We do a lot of logos with a small left chest and then the same logo full size on the back, this helps immensely maximizing screen usage.

Thanks again to all,
Having been getting more and more involved in the biz, it's great to have this site to gain more knowledge. After using the multiple image for the first time, it hits you over the head with how much time and money I could of saved by learning to do this a while ago.
Put newspaper on the unused area and then tape across the screen. Tape will clog up the screen or at least the tape we use.
Exactly the problem I have had in the past! I never thought about taping a piece of paper or anything else over the image! I will definitely give this a shot! Thanks!
When we do more than one location we usually try & squeeze them onto one screen as well, we learned this material & labor savor real fast. It also depends on the size of the images/ location/ & color inks used. but most of the time works in favor.
When we are doing a shirt that say a business wants their name on the upper left chest location and then again big across the back shoulders:
• you obviously can't burn the images into the same spot so we do them on opposite ends of the screen (reflecting one another). So once we've printed one side we release the screen, spin it around, re-register, & start printing again.
* we just pull the tape off our reg marks & clean those small areas to assure we get it just where we want it, then re-tape.
